Rarely seen with a not for resale sticker placed on the box, this mid-grade CIB copy of Zelda II sports a seemingly much nicer box than the WATA sub-grade of 6.0 would indicate.
About Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
Nintendo quickly followed-up the smash success of 1987's The Legend of Zelda with Zelda II: The Adventure of Link in 1988. An action-adventure game with role playing elements, Zelda II bears little resemblance to its predecessor, or really any other Zelda games for that matter as well. Despite the departure in gameplay style, Zelda II was still a smash success with both critics and players alike, selling more than four million copies worldwide in all.
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link is one of the most sought after NES games by collectors. With multiple print variants that are all relatively accessible this is a Zelda title that can often be obtained in lower CIB and sealed grades more easily than its predecessor, The Legend of Zelda. In high grades, however, Zelda II is quite the challenge and its similar box art to the original Legend of Zelda combines to make an exceptional “sword and shield” two game display set. Not to be overlooked, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link is a classic Zelda title which acted as a critical step towards turning the Zelda franchise into the worldwide phenomenon it is today.
